RADFORD (AP) – Radford University’s provost says he’s resigning at the end of the year.
Wil Stanton informed administrators, professors and students of his decision in an e-mail Monday. While he’s leaving the post, Stanton plans to stay at Radford as a business professor.
The decision, Stanton says in the e-mail, was difficult because he loves the job. However, Stanton has faced difficulty recently.
In October, the faculty senate took a no confidence vote against him. And the senate asked that he be replaced after complaints that he failed to back the faculty at times.
