Born May 22, 1940 in Staunton, Bob was a son of the late Dallas and Ethel Burgandine Jordan. After graduating from Clifton Forge High School, he served in the United States Navy. He was a laboratory technician for AET of Covington and a member of Clifton Forge Baptist Church. He was a former bass singer for the Cardinal State Quartet and was well known for his sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Allene Pearson Jordan in 1994, and a brother, Dallas Jordan Jr.

He is survived by a daughter, Rommi Jordan Lowe and husband Jeff of Covington; a son, Rhett Layne Schmaeman and wife Cheryl of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Ann Jordan Hogan and husband Ryland of Fishersville; and four grandchildren, Caleb Lowe, Kara Lowe, Heather Towe, and Zackary Stone.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with the Rev. W. Pembroke Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge.
