Dabney S. Lancaster Community College nursing students heard a presentation earlier this semester by Dr. Robert Williams, president of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization of the Greater Roanoke Valley, about the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.
Kneeling, from left, are Janet Dressler, Sarah Campbell, Billie Webb, Autumn Anderson and Sara Gayle.
Standing are Karen Butler, Amanda Campbell and baby; Emily Lipscomb, Marcia Tingler-Oliver, Dr. Williams, Ann May, DSLCC Nursing Program head; and Beth Easter.
Students designed a pink t-shirt to increase breast cancer awareness, and proceeds from the sale of the shirts will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. (DSLCC Photo)
