Violet Wolfe Andrews, 85, of Southport, Florida, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024. Violet was the widow of James F. Andrews who proceeded her in death in 2017 after 58 years of marriage.

Violet was born and raised in Bath County, Virginia, June 23, 1938, to the late Jesse Wolfe and Jenetta Hull Wolfe. She graduated from Valley High School in 1958 and attended Phillips Business College in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was a lifelong resident of the Highlands until retiring to Florida in 1999.

Violet was a member of Calvary Christian Baptist Church in Panama City, Florida; While residing in the Highlands, she was former member of Trinity Baptist Church and Moss Run Baptist Church.

In addition to being active in her church, Violet was also a former member of several gardens’ clubs in the local area over the years and still loved her indoor flowers and plants.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by and infant daughter, Cora Andrews; and her brothers, Roy, Issac, and Donnie Wolfe.

Surviving are her three children, Wayne Andrews and wife Shirlene, Robert “Bob” Andrews and wife Sandy, and William “Billy” Andrews and wife Donna; siblings, Rodney Wolfe, Arlie Wolfe and wife Joan Betty Howell and husband Clayton, and Donna Falls; sisters-in-law, Mary Linda Wolfe, Mary Cartwright and husband Doug; grandchildren, Wendy Kitchens (Jonathan), James Andrews (Carrie), Tina McClung (Robert), Jennifer Reed (Chad), Thomas Andrews (Heather), Joshua Andrews (Candon), Justin Andrews (Patricia), Michael Andrews, Amberlea Musslewhite (Cory), Steven Andrews (Shianne), Johnathan Andrews (Cheyenne), Jacob Andrews (Leah), Caleb Andrews; several great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Goforth officiating.

A private internment for James and Violet will be held at Union Chapel Cemetery in Hot Springs.
