LOW MOOR- Although they played just one game last week, the Alleghany Lady Cougars defeated James River 11-8 and a big part of that victory was the Cougars’ catcher, Kaylee Nicely.
Nicely went 2-5 at the plate with 2 runs scored and 4 RBIs. She also hit a 2-run home run in the fourth inning to extend a 2-run lead to four. For her efforts, Nicely was the top vote getter in the Virginian Review Diamond player of the week poll.
