Bath County 2024 Girls Soccer Preview
HOT SPRINGS – The Bath County varsity girls’ soccer program looks to build with an experienced returning team.
Following a 3-12-1 season, the Chargers girls’ soccer team brings back 12 returners that includes eight upperclassmen, including seniors Samantha Woodson and Zoey Jenkins.
The team did lose their leading scorer in Saige Gwin, who scored 11 of the team’s 13 total goals last year. However, with a plethora of returners, the Chargers have plenty of talent and room to find their new lead goal scorers.
Last season BCHS was shutout 7-0 against Giles in the first round of the Class 1, Region C tournament. There was no Pioneer District tournament as there were only two girl’s varsity programs which included Eastern Montgomery.
This season the Mustangs will not have a team.
Returning for his eighth season Adam Frye will lead Bath County to a 12-game non-district schedule.
The Chargers will open their season on Monday, March 11 at Stuarts Draft.
