Elizabeth Johnson

Mrs. Elizabeth Ardelia Shiflett
Johnson, age 76, of Covington, died Thursday, April 2, 2020 at her
residence.  She was the wife of the late
Maurice Lee Johnson.
Mrs.
Johnson was born October 31, 1943 in Covington, the daughter of the late James
Earnest Shiflett and Martha Kate Hepler Shiflett.
She was a graduate of Covington High
School. Mrs. Johnson was a former
employee of the Virginian Review. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs.
Johnson is survived by her daughter, Janet Ann Johnson Dressler and significant
other, James Duncan of Clifton Forge; two sons, Michael Lee Johnson and wife,
Carrie Dixon Johnson of Roanoke and Kevin Wayne Johnson and wife, Heather Johnson
of Harrisonburg; and four grandchildren, Megan Breeanna Dressler, Alanna Belle
Dressler, Logan Alexander Dressler and Madison Leigh Johnson.
In
addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by
a brother, Jimmy Shiflett and a sister, Carole Lee Powers.           
A
memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
The
family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to
Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
