Paul Douglas “Doug” Eisele (68) of Millboro, walked into eternity to meet his Saviour on June 25, 2020.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Julie Cheek Eisele, son Joshua Eisele (wife Brooke, grandson Parker), and daughter Brandi Collinsworth Crouch (husband John). His parents and sister, all of Columbus, Ohio, had gone on before him.
We all want to tell you the many ways he was such a loving, wonderful, Christ honoring husband, father and friend and how much he loved retirement here on the mountain with his Lifeline Ministries church family, and it is all so true. But he was also a recovering alcoholic, a former drug abuser, and dealt with many life issues before he accepted Jesus as his Savior. He would want us to use this platform to say to the addict, to the broken, to the lost, to the hopeless – your answer is in Jesus, He is the way, the truth and the life.  Call out to Him with your whole heart and he will answer, He will save you, He will forgive you, He will heal your brokenness.  He knows everything about you and has you reading an obituary because He loves you so much and wants you to be made whole. Jesus wants you to have the same assurance that Doug had, assurance of eternity with Him. The door is open today, we have no assurance of a tomorrow on this earth.  He is calling out to you now. John 3:16, we all know it, says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” You are a whosover, no matter where you are or what you’ve done.  He “so loved YOU” He came and died for you so you can spend eternity with Him.  The first step is to say yes, I need a Savior, I need Jesus. We pray you will do that and then find a good Bible believing church to help you grow in your relationship as you follow Him.
We will be having a private service, and in lieu of flowers or cards, we are asking that donations be made to Doug’s friends and favorite missionary couple, Chris and Heidi Smith. They serve Christ in Cambodia and can be reached through their Ohio church family: www.gracefellowship.cc/give (choose Pickerington campus and Roots of Grace Cambodia in the drop down box).
Thank you so much and God bless you.
Arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home; www.lovingfuneralhome1913.com.
