Over the past 4 ½ decades, a delicious Italian eatery known as Cucci’s —founded by Victor Cucci— has rested on top of a hill in Covington just beside the BP gas station and proudly served the good people of Alleghany County.

Cucci’s, located at 566 E. Madison Street is currently owned and operated by Victor’s wife, Janet Cucci, and their son, Giuseppe. After so many years in business, the Virginian Review stopped in to speak briefly with Mrs. Janet Cucci during yet another busy day in the famous Italian restaurant. “We’re so blessed to have this business,” Cucci said. “Having the support of the community for the past 46 years has meant the world to us and we just appreciate everyone who stops in. This community, our customers, and employees are the ones who’ve kept Cucci’s going strong.”

The Cucci family also wanted to take the time to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The Virginian Review noticed a few people in line to buy gift certificates, presumably for family for Christmas. We also noticed they are currently offering a discount on those gift certificates, so you can give the gift of Cucci’s this holiday season.

For more information on Cucci’s, feel free to stop by their restaurant or call them at 540-962-3964. They are open from 11:00 a.m.-9 p.m. from Tuesday-Sunday and closed on Mondays. However, they will be closed on Christmas Eve (Sunday the 24th) and Christmas Day.
