Community Event Offering Prayers As Schools Open

CLIFTON FORGE — The Eastern Alleghany Christian Ministerial Association is “covering our schools with prayer” Sunday with a Community Prayer Event at Living Stones Church, located at 100 Griffith Road off Rt. 42 east of Clifton Forge.
The event begins at 2 p.m.
“Please join with believers of all faiths as we send up praise and thanksgiving to God, asking Him to saturate our schools with wisdom, peace, health, love, patience, trust, endurance, strength and faith as we open during these unprecedented times,” organizers of the event said.
Boxes will be on hand for donations of school supplies.
Bring a lawn chair. Social distancing will be observed.
