First WTT Player Tests Positive

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — A player scheduled to compete in the 2020 World TeamTennis season at The Greenbrier beginning this weekend has tested positive for COVID-19.
“Washington Kastles player Frances Tiafoe, having tested positive for COVID-19 within the advance travel testing window, is ineligible to compete in the 2020 World TeamTennis season,” said WTT CEO Carlos Silva.
The nine-team league will begin a 63-match regular season on Sunday continuing through July 30.
The league playoff semifinals are scheduled for August 1 with the finals on August 2.
