COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – On the afternoon of Thursday, May 18, local political leaders met in Covington City Hall to sign two important proclamations. One was for Business Appreciation Month, a proclamation initially enacted by former Governor Ralph Northam in 2019 which stresses the importance of local businesses and their impact on the communities. The second was for National Travel and Tourism Week, or NTTW, originally established in 1983.
