Victory Baptist Church which was located beside the Clifton Forge Town Hall purchased the building in 2022 that housed Family Dollar which was located adjacent to the Kroger Store in Clifton Forge.

Since 2022, workers have been remodeling the building that the church purchased from Dr. Krishna Sankar.

Victory Baptist Church then obtained land north of the building that adjoins what once was the Family Dollar. The additional land has been cleared, graded and covered with gravel for an expanded parking lot.

Pastor Brandon Nicely is set to stand at the pulpit and minister to his congregation for the first time after the inside and outside construction is completed.

Workers have painted over the words “Family Dollar” on the sign in front of the building, and the shingles that were used to replace where lightning once struck the front of Family Dollar are no longer visible.

In the location where Victory Baptist Church was previously located, DollarTree/FamilyDollar has been up and running for several months.

That structure was an A&P Supermarket before it became a Save-A-Lot Grocery Store only to be converted to an A&P Supermarket again prior to the building being converted to the Victory Baptist Church.
