Adjacent to the Clifton Forge Town Hall, a new kiosk has been erected after holes were dug by the Clifton Forge Public Works Department for the metal support poles of the kiosk to fit into.
The kiosk is located beside the Clifton Forge Town Hall parking lot with its front facing the First Citizens Bank which is located directly across Main Street.
The kiosk was installed on Feb. 28, and the historic map it displays provides information about the location of points of interest in the historic district such as The Historic Masonic Theatre, the Clifton Forge School of the Arts and the Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center.
The map of the Clifton Forge historic district is enclosed and protected from the elements, and the words at the top of the black kiosk state, “Clifton Forge Historic Downtown.”
The Historic Masonic Theatre (circa 1905) is located within view of the kiosk at 510 Main Street, and its website is www.historicmasonictheatre.com.
