After back to back Pioneer District losses to Narrows and Covington, the Bath County Chargers (8-11) got back to their winning ways on Wednesday following a 68-30 non-district victory over the Richwood Lumberjacks.
Jaden Ryder led four Chargers in scoring with a game-high 24 points. Ryder finished the game with a double-double, including 14 rebounds.
Isaac Gwin contributed 14 more points for the winning Chargers, who also got 10 points each from Kamoy Stone and Landon Long. Stone also provided the Chargers with a double-double performance as he also collected 14 rebounds. Gwin added six assists.Â
The win over Lumberjacks is a big boost for the Chargers who had been surging towards the middle of January. The Chargers were on the road at Highland on Friday and are back on the road Tuesday against Parry McCluer for another big district meeting.Â
