Delsie Byrd Neal Michael, 89, of 27 Bath Road, Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2020 at her residence.
She was born October 7, 1930 in Hot Springs, the daughter of the late Edward Jay Neal and Mary Ann Baldwin Neal.
She was married to the late Billy Jack Michael whom she married on May 22, 1955.
Mrs. Michael was a 1947 graduate of Valley High. She worked for Fox Cleaners, and later for The Homestead Resort in the accounting office as a Comptroller. She later retired from the Mick-or-Mack as a grocer. She was a member of the Ashwood United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Michael and a son, Donnie Michael both of Hot Springs;  four grandchildren, Jennifer Persinger McDaniel & husband Eric of Roanoke, Virginia, Crystal Michael Broyles & husband Adam of Roanoke, Stephanie Michael of Georgia and Ann Bogan & special friend Richard DePriest of Hematite, Virginia; great grandchildren, Michael McDaniel, Emily McDaniel, Carson Bogan, Spencer Bogan, John David Broyles and soon to be, Paislee DePriest; a sister, Elsie Iris Neal McFarland of Covington, Virginia; and special friends and neighbors, Wayne Winebriner, Betty Borne, Anna Lee Williams and Norma McMillon.
In addition to her husband Bill who preceded her in death in 1997, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Jay Edward Neal, and an infant sister, Claudia Ann Neal.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Alleghany Memorial Park in Covington, officiated by her nephews, Robert Michael and Earl Butch Michael.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 1116 Smith Street #301, Charleston, West Virginia 25301; the Ashwood United Methodist Church, c/o Frank Johnson, 5028 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, Virginia 24445 or the Hot Springs Rescue Squad, P.O. Box N, Hot Springs, Virginia 24445.
