Trail riders and tranquility seekers tent camped on the grassy area near the entrance to the Jackson River Sports Complex during Adventure X Fest (AXF) held from noon Sept. 9 till noon Sept. 11.

*The adventure base camp festival featured music at the Jackson River Sports Complex’s River Rock Amphitheatre adjacent to the encampment made up of campers from across the U.S. who gathered to ride trails, socialize and enjoy music.

*As rain moved into the area on Sat., several campers opted to remain sheltered where they swapped tales beneath canvas while those who decided to explore the area trails were away exploring the mountainous terrain.

*Adjacent to the encampment on Sat., the Third Annual Darrin Nicely Slow Pitch Softball Tournament was held despite the rain that rendered Debos Brown & Sons, a towing and hauling company-sponsored team from Salem, wet but champions.

The weather on Sunday had cleared, but the festival ended at noon, and the campers headed back to their homes to prepare for their next outings.
