The official unveiling for the new name of Mountain Gateway Community College was observed July 1st on the Clifton Forge campus of the former Dabney S. Lancaster Community College. Local Board members who participated in the brief renaming ceremony included, from left: Stephanie Clark of Covington; Marylin Alexander of Lexington; MGCC president Dr. John Rainone; Ingrid Barber of Clifton Forge; Steve Vaughn of Botetourt County; and Chair Rusty Ford of Rockbridge County.. Dr. Rainone remarked although the College’s name has changed, the mission of providing an affordable education to the service area remains the same. The College’s new website is www.mgcc.edu.
