GOSHEN, VA (VR) – Goshen is having a Beach Party beside the iron bridge in Goshen. It is located across from the First Aid Field. We will also have events and food occurring at the first aid field. The event will run from 3-9:00 p.m. on the 4th of July and admission is free. The alternate Rt. 39 road, by the BP station, will be blocked off beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing through 10:00 p.m. to allow easy and safe access to both areas for the event. Parking will be in the first aid field across from the iron bridge.
We will have music performed by Keith Bryant 3-5, Pat Cantrell 5-7, and Glen Shelton 7-9. The music performances will be located right by the river with a nice area for people to put out their chairs and enjoy the outdoors and the great music.
We will have a dunking tank with our own Mayor McCraw, sitting and daring anyone to try their luck at dunking him in the water!
There will be free pony rides, a barrel train and a bounce house for the kids.
Numerous vendors will be set up to sell their goods.
Food will be available for purchase, provided by BG’s Restaurant and the Goshen Country Store.
We are also planning to have a corn hole tournament with trophies given for the 1st place champions.
There will be a 50/50 drawing with proceeds going to the planned community center.
All donations received for this event will benefit the planned community center for the Town of Goshen and the surrounding area.
