The Alleghany County Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism held a ribbon cutting for Casa de Leones Mexican Grill at 348 West Main Street in Covington on June 15. Executive Director of the Chamber Teresa Hammond welcomed those in attendance and introduced Kathleen All, the Chamber’s President-elect, who welcomed co-owners Leonel Fuentes and Ruben Cossyleon. Area officials made welcoming remarks; David Crosier, Vice-Mayor of the City of Covington; Jeff Irvine, Mayor of the Town of Clifton Forge; James Griffith, member of the Alleghany County Board of Supervisors; and Terri McClung, Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corp. Following remarks by the co-owners, they cut the ribbon and invited all to come and enjoy Mexican Cuisine.
