The Cougars offense also grabbed RBI’s from Cook, John Bostic (1-for-3), and Eli Dressler (0-for-3).
In the bottom of the second inning, the Cougars erupted for a six-run inning to put the first runs of the game on the scoreboard. Bostic got the inning started with an RBI single. The Cougars grabbed three more runs to take a 4-0 lead before L. Dressler and E. Martin, had back to back hits that brought in two runs to put the team ahead 6-0.
The Mustangs grabbed one run back in top of the third inning to cut the lead down to 6-1. In the fourth inning, the Cougars grabbed that run back and added an extra run in the inning. L. Dressler, had an RBI double in the inning and would eventually come around to score on a throwing error on Martin’s second of his three hits of the game.
