Clifton Forge Masonic Lodge #166 welcomes District Deputy Grand Master on Official Visit.
The 20th masonic district consists of Millboro lodge #28, Mountain City Lodge Lexington VA #67
Clifton Forge lodge #166, Covington lodge #171, Buena Vista lodge #186 and Glasgow lodge #233.
District #23 and District #20 were separate districts until January 1st, 2019, and now all lodges are
District #20. The district deputy will be nominated in what is now called across the mountain and on the other side of the mountain. Each year the lodges will rotate between the three lodges in each area.
Right Worshipful Robert Thomas a past master of Covington Lodge #171 is the district deputy grand master for district #20 2021/2022. Thomas represents Most Worshipful James Winfield Golladay Jr. 176 th Grand Master of Masons in Virginia. Thomas presented a program on the Grand Master theme for the year is Free Masonry a Family Affair.
Freemasonry is the oldest fraternal organization in existence and is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to help make the world a better place. Through our culture of philanthropy, we make a profound difference for our brothers, our families, our communities, and our future.
The charity that all masons should support are the Scholarship Program to assist our children in their educational journey, blood program, masonic relief fund and Masonic home of VA.
Masonry has always taken a good man and made him a better man.
