CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) - The Virginian Review had the opportunity to speak with members of the Area 18 Special Olympics team Friday morning as they prepared to travel to Virginia Beach for a weekend of competition.
The athletes received a special send-off, escorted by local law enforcement officers and Clifton Forge Fire and EMS personnel. Downtown businesses and community members lined the streets of Clifton Forge to cheer on the athletes and wish them luck as they headed out of town. Photo: Christopher Mentz, VR Sports
