Ryan Hall Among Students Honored At Scholars Luncheon

Ryan Hall of Covington, left, was among 43 students representing Virginia’s 23 community colleges who were honored recently at the Commonwealth Legacy Scholars Luncheon in Charlottesville.

Hall, who gave the invocation, is the recipient of the Robert F. and Vivian N. Sutphin Commonwealth Legacy Scholarship named in honor of the Sutphins, of Covington, for their support of and generosity to the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Educational Foundation.

“These outstanding students are Virginia’s future leaders,” said Glenn DuBois, right, chancellor of the Virginia Community College System, in commending the 43 scholars. “they represent the potential in all of our youth, and the difference we can make in the world.”

Ryan is the son of Kevin Hall of Covington and Yvonne Hall of Clifton Forge.
