The descendants of Frank and Rosa Wolfe held their fourth family reunion at the homeplace on Summit Drive on September 17.

Two new brides were welcomed to the family this year, Mrs. Gene (Kim) Mundy and Mrs. Robert (Debbie) Lee.

Those attending from out of state were Kay and Dylan Vess, Steven Munday and Kania Reed and guest. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Mundy from Olongapo, Philippines and Sudan, Africa, were in attendance as well.

Frank and Rosa had eight children, Clara, Arthur, Lucy, Gertrude, Dorothy and George F. (Jake), who are all deceased. The two surviving daughters are Margaret and Daisy.

The homeplace dates back to about 1845, when it belonged to the Rev. John B. Lynch. Frank and Rosa purchased the home in 1907. It is listed in the Library of Virginia as a Virginia Historical Home.

Frank and Rosa operated the Potts Creek Telephone Exchange from 1938 until 1955.

Attending the reunion were Margaret Lee, Daisy Blankenship, Janice and Harold Van Ness, Jim Haynes, Kammie and Bob Knabenshue, Kay Vess and son, Dylan, Bobby and Debbie Lee, Robin Jackson and son, Tyler, Ginny Crowder, Greg Blankenship and son, Jackson, Nathan (Billy) and Trudy Lee, Deena Lee, Dale Blankenship, Priscilla and Steve Redman, Jason and Roseann Lee, Wayland Mayo and grandson, Ryan, Hilda McDowell, Kania Reed and guest, Chad, Bill and Becky Johnson, Gene and Kim Mundy, Steven Mundy and hostess Shirley Mundy.
