Grace Hall Crowned Little Miss Queen Of Hearts

Grace Arianne Hall has been named the 2011 Little Miss Queen of Hearts.

Grace received her crown during the annual pageant which was held Saturday night at Covington High School’s Curfman Hall. The pageant was sponsored by the Alleghany Heart Unit.

Grace is the seven-year-old daughter of Jerry and Kathy Hall of Longdale. Her sponsor for the pageant was Honey’s Hairbows.

The first runner-up was Kiersten Eleanor Smith, the nine-year-old daughter of Chris and Emily Smith of Covington. Her sponsor was the Shoe Box and Sports Center.

The second runner-up was Madison Lexus Martin, the nine-year-old daughter of Mike and Teresa Martin of Covington. Her sponsor was H&R Block.

The third runner-up was Abigayle Lee Reynolds, the nine-year-old daughter of Scott and Sharla Reynolds of Clifton Forge. Her sponsor was Sweet Tooth Gourmet Cupcakes.

The fourth runner-up was Allison Terra Graham, the 10-year-old daughter of Terry and Tammy Graham of Alleghany County. Her sponsor was Photos by Sue.

Jenna Elizabeth Tolley won the Photogenic Award. Jenna is the eight-year-old daughter of Rocky and Andi Tolley of Clifton Forge. Her sponsor was Garlynda’s Fancy Feet.

The Audience Choice winner, in which the audience selects their favorite contestant via monetary donations, was Kassie Sharon Bruce. Kassie brought in $427, while a total of $1,643 was raised through all audience donations.

Kassie, the nine-year-old daughter of Jaime Summer Bruce of Alleghany County, was sponsored by Crawford Photography.

Other contestants in Saturday’s pageant included:

-Trinity Faith Ayers, the nine-year-old daughter of Sarrita Ayers of Alleghany County and the late Jonathan Ayers. Her sponsor was American Freestyle Martial Arts Academy.

-Kira Elizabeth Gaines, the seven-year-old daughter of Yvonne C. Gaines of Covington. Her sponsor was Helena Hubble of Helena’s Karaoke and DJ.

-Haley Ann Jerman, the 10-year-old daughter of Kevin and Marcy Jerman of Covington. Her sponsor was Cathy Rice of Penny’s Pioneer.

-Julieanna Marie Lara, the 10-year-old daughter of Sheila Gilbert and Alvaro Lara of Alleghany County. Her sponsor was Cato’s.

-Abygail Maelyn Leandro, the nine-year-old daughter of Penny and Michael Leandro of Clifton Forge. Her sponsor was Jack Mason’s Tavern.

-Shelby Elaine Leichter, the 10-year-old daughter of Ron and Becky Leichter of Covington. Her sponsor was Bennett’s Logging and Lumber.

-Chaya Elizabeth Offer, the eight-year-old daughter of Linda Offer and Brad Mabe of Callaghan. Her sponsor was Patsy’s Dance Studio.

-Tia Lasha Quarles, the nine-year-old daughter of Lena Williams of Covington and Tyrone Quarles of Clifton Forge. Her sponsor was Dr. Ronald Goings.

-Sierrah Clarie-Marie Ramsey, the eight-year-old daughter of Steven and Jessica Ramsey of Clifton Forge. Her sponsor was Claire’s Alterations.

-Savannah Guadalupe Rocha, the eight-year-old daughter of Juan and Dayna Rocha of Alleghany County. Her sponsor was Steve White Construction.

-Kaleigh Renee Sizemore, the eight-year-old daughter of Amy Bauman and Justin Sizemore of Covington. Her sponsor was Western Sizzlin.

-Alexis Schultz, the 10-year-old daughter of Eric and Kristie Schultz of Alleghany County. Her sponsor was Cole Amusement Company.

-Kaitlyn Faith Tucker, the 10-year-old daughter of April and Robert Tucker of Alleghany County. Her sponsor was Kelly Campbell of Harrah’s X-SalonEnse.

Clint Collins and Patsy Snead were the host and hostess for Saturday’s pageant. Entertainment was provided by Lacy Hall, who performed two vocal selections. Dancers from Patsy’s Dance Studio, as well as Kamryn Drumheller and Grace Lyon, performed several dance routines.

Charles Offer and Josh Roldan served as escorts during the Evening Gown competition, and presented each candidate with a flower. Contestants also participated in Dress Wear and Hobby Wear competitions.

Judges for the pageant were Gretchen Irvine and Hannah Morningstar of Lewisburg, W.Va., both seniors at Greenbrier East High School, and Candy Sharpe of Marlinton, W.Va.

Auditors were Schuyler Fury, Kelsey Meyer and Shannon Fuhrman.

Appearances were made Saturday night by Queens for a Cause Garlynda Haynes and Laurel Haynes, Senior Miss Queen of Hearts Emily Bennett, Junior Miss Queen of Hearts Mahaley Reyns, Yooung Miss Queen of Hearts Kylie Hendrickson, outgoing Little Miss Queen of Hearts Sydney Hepler and Tiny Miss Queen of Hearts Gracie Conner.

Pageant directors were Susan Tolley and Amanda Burns. Burns also served as pageant coordinator. Robin Jennings was the queen coordinator. Helpers were Tracy Barner, Mandy Arritt, Karen May, Kathy Gibson, Vance Gibson, Betty Munsey, Janet Wolfe, Kelsey Meyer, Amanda Taylor, Tiffany Reynolds, Robin Jennings and Scott Jennings. Janet Wolfe provided the stage design.

Saturday night’s pageant raised a total of $5,717. Outgoing queen Sydney Hepler presented a donation for $1,729 from various fundraising activities throughout the year.

The final pageant of the year, the Tiny Miss Queen of Hearts pageant, will be held May 7 at Curfman Hall.
