VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) – Virginia Beach police have fatally shot a suspect following a chase. Virginia Beach police say the suspect was shot about 4:40 a.m. Sunday near Lake Edward.

Charleston Detron Newby, 26, of Virginia Beach was pronounced dead at the scene.
