School Board Sets Monday Meeting

The Covington City School Board will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the school board offices on Walnut Street.

The following items are included on Monday’s agenda:

• 2012-2013 budget discussion.

• Schedule a budget work session for Feb. 20 at 6 p.m.

• Approve field trips for the Youth and Government Club and Covington High School wrestling team.

• Hear reports from the superintendent on VSBA School Board Appreciation Month and School Board Clerk Appreciation Week, Virginia School Principals Appreciation Week, National School Counselor Appreciation Week, Virginia School Counselor Appreciation Day, Career and Technical Education Month, Bullying Prevention Education Month, Virtual Virginia-Governor’s School Discussion and Rachel’s Challenge, a partnership with the Community Services Board.

Following the meeting, a closed session will be held to discuss personnel changes.
