Mr. and Mrs. Humphrey and Connie Moynihan of Covington announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Lynn, to Brian Wallace Gray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace and Janelle Gray of Carmel, Ind.
Moynihan is a 2000 graduate of Alleghany High School and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the College of William and Mary in 2004, and a doctorate in Cell and Developmental Biology from Vanderbilt University in 2009.
She is completing a summer internship with the University of Michigan Office of Technology Transfer in Ann Arbor, Mich. and will take a position as a research fellow at the Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience Institute at the University this fall.
Gray is a 1998 graduate of Carmel High School and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Japanese and pre-medical studies from the University of Notre Dame in 2002; and his doctor of medicine from Vanderbilt University in 2007.
He is currently completing his residency in General Surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center.
The wedding is planned for May 28, 2011 at St. Gabriel the Archangel in Louisville, Ky.
