LONGDALE - Best wishes and prayers to those shut-in at home, nursing homes and hospitalized.
Peggy Robinson has returned to her home following a stay at LewisGale Hospital-Salem. She is feeling much better having had pneumonia.
Minnie Robinson Smith has returned home having spent some time with her daughter Gale in Lynchburg. She has had some health issues but is better now.
Marvin Nicely, a resident of Brian Center in Fincastle, has not been feeling so good. We offer prayers for him.
Sympathy is extended to the family, descendants and many friends of Wayne Bennett. He will be missed. Many attended a memorial service and dinner at Longdale Methodist Church in celebration of his life.

Lester and Nilia Conner attended the Entsminger family reunion Oct. 15 at Robinson Lake, Collierstown. A delicious picnic lunch was enjoyed by approximately 45 attending.
Stringed music and stories were shared with plans for an early gathering next year when it is not so chilly and windy.

Marie Armstrong and son, Robert, spent the weekend recently with her son Dwight Nicely of Farmville and family and Ricky Nicely. They attended the wedding of a grandson.
Visiting on Sunday with Marie Armstrong were her brother James Williams and wife, Betty, of Lexington.
