WILLIAMSBURG— Mrs. Betty Charles Sherer, a long time resident of Williamsburg, passed away, Oct. 13, 2014, at her home in Covington.
Betty Ann had worked for the Williamsburg Foundation for a number of years as an interpreter and Ghost Tour guide.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Jenny Charles of Covington, and her daughter, Maria Ann Sherer, of Williamsburg.
She is survived by two sons, Mike and wife, Kim of Bardstown, Ky. and Chuck of Baltimore, Md.; three grandchildren; five sisters, Virginia Felty, Shelby Watson, Jeanie Persinger, Sue Brown, Kitty Ailstock; and one brother, David Charles, all of Covington.
A graveside service will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday, Oct.17, at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Williamsburg.
