Alleghany School Board Meets Monday

LOW MOOR - The Alleghany County School Board will meet Monday at the administrative office complex in Low Moor.

The board will meet at 5 p.m. for a budget work session. No action will be taken during the work session.

At 6 p.m., the board will hold its January business meeting.

Under budget and finance, the board will discuss projected revenues for the 2012-2013, based on Gov. Bob McDonnell’s recommendations to the General Assembly.

Superintendent’s reports will include: School board meeting calendar information, approval of the 2012-2013 academic calendar, trends in advanced placement and dual-enrollment courses, elective discipline, a new cafeteria management system, sale of surplus property, capital improvements, and architectural services for Alleghany High School.

There will be a closed session to discuss student and personnel matters.
