The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature a full day of activities centered on animals, food, games, crafts and family entertainment. The event is open to the public.

One of the featured attractions will be the Poultry & Small Animal Exchange, giving attendees an opportunity to see a variety of farm animals and learn more about livestock and rural life.

A tractor parade is also planned for noon, with trophies to be awarded as part of the event. The parade is expected to be a highlight for families and agriculture enthusiasts.

Children will have several activities to choose from throughout the festival, including outdoor games and Chicken Poop Bingo, a lighthearted game offering participants the chance to win prizes.

Local craftsmanship will also take center stage in the Handmade/Homemade Goods area. Festivalgoers can browse crafts, homemade products and treats while supporting local vendors and artisans.

The Alleghany Longbeards BB Gun Shoot will offer another activity for visitors, allowing participants to test their skills in a supervised setting.

Festival organizers are also highlighting Ox Bow Farm, which will showcase oxen, campfire cooking and handmade craftsmanship. The exhibit will give visitors a glimpse into traditional farm skills and the region’s rural heritage.

Animal lovers will have an opportunity to support adoption efforts as the Humane Society is expected to attend with dogs available for adoption.

Farm Fest is being presented as a celebration of food, animals, family and fun, bringing together community organizations, local vendors and agricultural enthusiasts for a day of activities.
