POCAHONTAS COUNTY, Wv. (VR) — Bath County bounced back from its Week 2 loss in convincing fashion Friday night, traveling to West Virginia and rolling past Pocahontas County, 49-8.

The Chargers wasted little time taking control, building a 35-0 lead by halftime. Bath County continued to add to its advantage in the second half, pushing the lead to 49-0 before Pocahontas County found the scoreboard late. The Chargers brought home the buck for this season, Bath County has rebirthed a old tradition with Pocahontas County.

Bath County opened the season with a 17-12 win over Stonewall Jackson before falling to Buffalo Gap, 52-12, in Week 2.

The Chargers will return home Friday when they host Tygarts Valley.
