COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany varsity volleyball team picked up a 3-0 victory over Bath County Thursday night, winning 25-11, 25-14 and 25-22.
Alleghany controlled the match early, taking the opening set by 14 points before adding an 11-point win in the second set. Bath County kept the third set closer, but the Cougars finished the sweep with a 25-22 decision.
Kimora Moye led Alleghany with eight kills, while Allyson Cottrell added six kills and four aces. Cottrell also recorded 15 digs.
Kendra Dressler finished with 30 assists and 13 digs to lead the Cougars at the net.
