Virginia Tech Dining Services is a key partner in the university’s effort to reduce food waste. Dining currently sends about 300 tons of food waste and compostable service ware each year to an off-campus composting facility, material that could eventually be processed at the planned facility at Kentland Farm. CLIFTON FORGE, VA (VR) — The Historic Masonic Theatre will once again welcome the Special Theatrical Artists Revue & Showcase (STARS) program on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 3 p.m.

The highly anticipated performance will feature an inspiring troupe of 30 performers, continuing a legacy that began in 1996. Through the years, the STARS program has provided a special opportunity for performers to share their talents, stories and spirit with audiences throughout the community.

This year’s holiday performance promises an afternoon filled with joy, talent and remarkable stories of perseverance. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience the unique abilities and energy of the STARS performers as they take the stage once again.

The event is made possible through the generous support of the City of Covington, the Town of Clifton Forge and Alleghany County.

Admission to the performance is free, with seating available on a general-admission basis. Doors will open at 2 p.m., one hour before the performance.

Community members are invited to attend and celebrate the return of the STARS program and the extraordinary performers who continue to make this event a memorable part of the region’s performing arts community.

The Historic Masonic Theatre encourages residents and visitors to come out and enjoy an afternoon of music, entertainment and celebration as the STARS take the stage once again.
