Virginia Tech Dining Services is a key partner in the university’s effort to reduce food waste. Dining currently sends about 300 tons of food waste and compostable service ware each year to an off-campus composting facility, material that could eventually be processed at the planned facility at Kentland Farm. SALEM, Va. – The Roanoke College men’s basketball team released its 2026-27 schedule, with the regular season starting Nov. 7 at Allegheny University.

The Maroons posted a 23-7 record last season, capturing their first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) title since 1999-20 and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight year. The Maroons were ranked No. 17 in the final D3hoops.com final poll of the year.

Roanoke begins the home portion of the season Nov. 13-14 with the Frankie Allen Tip-Off Classic in the Cregger Center, featuring the University of Pitt-Greensburg, Salisbury and Greensboro. RC next competes in the Governor’s Challenge Nov. 20-21 in Salisbury, Md. before opening the ODAC slate  Dec. 2 at Washington & Lee University. The first home conference game isn’t until Jan. 6 when RC hosts Eastern Mennonite University. The ODAC Tournament is set for the week of Feb. 24 with the semifinals and finals scheduled for Feb. 27-28 at the Salem Civic Center.

“We are excited for the upcoming season and know there will be many challenges in front of us,” said Maroon head coach Clay Nunley. “I’m confident our guys will be ready to put the work in to prepare to meet those challenges.”
