Spider Cross Country Announces 2026 Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. — University of Richmond Director of Track and Field and head women’s cross country coach Lori Taylor and head men’s cross country coach Steve Taylor have announced the Spiders’ 2026 cross country schedule, which features eight meets, including three home events and the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships.

Richmond will open the season Sept. 5 by hosting the Spider Alumni Open in Mechanicsville, Va., before traveling to Charlottesville, Va., for the Virginia Invitational on Sept. 18.

The Spiders return home Oct. 2 to host the Richmond Invitational, then head to College Station, Texas, for the Texas A&M Arturo Barrios Invitational on Oct. 16.

Richmond will enter the postseason by hosting the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships on Oct. 31 in Mechanicsville, Va., at Pole Green Park. The Spiders will compete at the NCAA Southeast Region Championships on Nov. 13 in Spartanburg, S.C.

The NCAA Championships are scheduled for Nov. 21 in Terre Haute, Ind. Richmond’s season concludes Dec. 12 at the USATF National Championships in Norton, Ohio.
