COVINGTON, Va, (VR) - Families turned out in large numbers Saturday for the City of Covington Parks and Recreation’s Youth Day, enjoying a full afternoon of activities and entertainment. The event featured performances from two dance troupes from the Alleghany Highlands, while kids took part in archery, painting, the bungee trampoline, fishing with Douthat State Park, kart racing, free putt-putt golf and more. The well-attended event highlighted another outstanding job by the City of Covington Parks and Recreation staff in bringing the community together for a fun-filled day.
