Alma Adams Haley, “Ms. A”

Alma Adams Haley, “Ms. A”, age 76, of 1700 Main Street, Building148, Apt 7, Clifton Forge, Virginia died on Friday, May 1, 2026 at her residence.

Alma was born on October 10, 1949 in Clifton Forge to the late William Edward Anderson and Leola Elizabeth Anderson. Following graduation from high school, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired as a dietary supervisor for Liberty University. Ms. A was a devoted believer in her Father, Jesus Christ, and she enjoyed writing poetry and playing cards.

In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her first husband, James Arthur Adams, Jr.; her second husband, James Edward Johnson; a daughter, Quintina Haley; a sister, Gwendolyn Gausney; and a granddaughter, Laci-Ann.

She is survived by four daughters, Sabrina Johnson (Herman), Gwen Adams, Tammie Adams-Hunter (Levi), and Letricia Petty (Shawn); five sons, James Adams (Jacqueline), Frank Adams, Quinton Haley, Adrian Johnson (Tori), and Jalen Adams; three sisters, Valerie Anderson, Jennifer Swing, and Terrie Moore; four brothers, Charles Anderson, Thomas Anderson, Steve Anderson, and Kenneth Anderson; 36 grandchildren, James Adams, Jr., Amanda Adams, TaShawn Adams, Tyreona Adams, Alma Adams, Ja’mauri Adams, Savion Adams, Ja’dora Adams, Sophia Adams, Angel Adams, Ta’Sheila “Piggy” Adams, Semaj Adams, Jamez Adams, Jarrion Adams, Samar Adams, Annariah Adams, Derrick Adams, Steven Adams, Desmond Adams, Cecily Adams, Patrick Johnson, Brittany Johnson, Jordan Johnson, DeVanté Adams, Finesse Adams, Deyonna Armstrong, Maya Adams, Franklin Adams, Jada Adams, Jadae Adams, Shantae Petty, Shantell Petty, Shawn Petty, Jr., Shawndre Petty, Adrian Johnson, Jr., and Kayden Johnson ; a number of great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Selena Robinson; and a special friend, Lisa.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
