COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Covington middle school softball came up short 10-8, but delivered a consistent offensive performance and showed continued improvement across the lineup.

Kelsey Broughman led the way with a 4-for-4 outing, recording a double and three singles. Alyssa Shifflett added two doubles in a 2-for-4 game, while Miyah Howard went 2-for-3 with two singles. Miranda Broughman finished 2-for-2 and struck out seven in the circle, and Tori Bowers went 1-for-3 with a single.
