CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 4 Virginia men’s tennis team (19-3, 11-1 ACC) closed its regular-season home slate with a 4-0 win against Louisville (17-11) on Sunday (April 5) at the Boar’s Head Sports Club.
 
Virginia honored fourth-years Måns Dahlberg and Douglas Yaffa in a pre-match Senior Day ceremony.
 
The afternoon began with the Cavaliers taking the doubles point following back-and-forth contests on all three courts. Ultimately, sophomores Keegan Rice and Stiles Brockett took court two 7-5 and No. 5 Dylan Dietrich and Dahlberg followed closely behind, winning 7-5 on one to secure the 1-0 Virginia advantage.
 
No. 2 Dietrich took his first set on the top court 6-4, then cruised through the second 6-1 to grab the second point for Virginia. No. 14 Rice finished next, taking court two 6-1, 6-1. Yaffa clinched the match victory for the Cavaliers with his 6-2, 6-4 win on six.

  • Virginia concludes its regular season with a Commonwealth Clash match against Virginia Tech on Thursday (April 9) at 4:30 p.m. in Blacksburg, Va.
