Alleghany Boys Secure Road Win Over Rockbridge

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. (VR) – Alleghany handled Rockbridge with a decisive showing in singles, winning five of six matches to take control early and secure the team victory.

The match opened with doubles, Enstminger and Smith fell 3-8 in the opener. Warren and Jones answered with an 8-6 win in match two, and Harris and Tallman sealed the day with another 8-6 victory.

Bubby Enstminger set the tone with an 8-3 win in singles. Riley Smith dropped his matchup to Johnson 2-8, but Alleghany responded with four straight wins. Ayven Warren edged his opponent 8-6, Colten Jones followed with an 8-2 decision, and Quinten Harris dominated 8-1 in match five. Spencer Tallman closed singles with an 8-5 win to give Alleghany a 5-1 advantage.

 

Alleghany is 3-1
