COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Edgemont Presbyterian Church (Associate Reformed) invites you to worship and join us in our upcoming special services and activities for the celebration of Easter. Our Maundy Thursday Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2nd. Our guest speaker, the Rev. Jim Giles of Johnson Creek ARP Church, will be delivering the message “Maundy Thursday,” to be followed by the LORD’s Supper. Our Good Friday Service to be held on Friday, April 3rd, at 6 p.m. Rev. James MacDougall’s message will focus on the seven phrases Jesus uttered from the cross. Come and enjoy music from Handel’s Messiah before the service, which will begin at 5:00 p.m.

An Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 4th, at 11:00 a.m.at the church playground.

There will be snacks, crafts, games, prizes, and a hotdog luncheon. The Easter bunny will be on site to visit with children and take photos.

In continuing a time-honored tradition, the Edgemont congregation will join members of Johnson Creek ARP Church for an Easter Sunrise Service at Johnson Creek on April 5th.

Rev. Jim Giles will deliver the resurrection message at 7:00 a.m. The final Easter service will be at Edgemont at 11:00 a.m. when Rev. MacDougall will deliver the message “Resurrection Assured.”

You are invited to join us for these special services as we celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of our risen Lord. Edgemont ARP is located at 2306 S. Church Avenue in Covington.
