Approval of the minutes of: (1) a regular meeting held on February 3, 2026.

PUBLIC HEARING: None.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (VDOT) UPDATE:

Ms. Susan Hammond, VDOT Resident Engineer – Update.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None.

NEW BUSINESS:

Mr. Josh Taylor, Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism – Presentation on the Chamber Annual Report and the Tourism Strategic Plan.

Discuss and consider resolution requesting VDOT Economic Development Access Program funding for road improvements in the Alleghany Regional Commerce Center.

Discuss and consider Board Goals and Priorities.

Discuss and consider award of contract for the reconstruction of stairs/sidewalk at the Alleghany Regional Jail.

Discuss and consider resolution in support of the Virginia Military Institute.

Discuss and consider resolution in opposition to gerrymandering and redistricting outside of the ten-year Census cycle.

Discuss and consider resolution to authorize the County Administrator to send a letter in regards to past action on the Second Amendment.

Appointment of Mr. James Eller (Clifton Forge East District) to the Industrial Development Authority as the 7th rotating member.  The term is for four years beginning March 26, 2026 and ending March 25, 2030.
