Virginia State Police Investigating Pittsylvania County Fatal Crash

PITTSYLVANIA, Va.(VR)  – Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Sunday (Jan 25), at 5:15 p.m. on Moorefield Bridge Road, two tenths of a mile south of Red Bud Lane in Pittsylvania County.

A 2024 Can-Am Defender Side-by-Side was traveling south on Moorefield Bridge Road, when the vehicle lost control and overturned; partially ejecting the passenger.

The driver, Corey Michael Pullin, 35, of Danville, Va., was injured and was taken to hospital.

The passenger, 7-year-old Briggs Pullin was partially ejected and was transported to the hospital by EMS, where he later died.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this crash.

Charges are pending.

The crash remains under investigation.
