COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Olde Town Covington held its first New Year’s Eve celebration in downtown Covington on Wednesday night. The event began with food vendors and an outdoor showing of It’s a Wonderful Life, followed by a fireworks display. A DJ provided music throughout the evening, and ticket holders had access to Mountain Rush. The celebration concluded at midnight with a ball drop from the Mountain Rush building, marking the start of the new year.
