CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – The Town of Clifton Forge is proud to share that we have been awarded $1 million through the Virginia Workforce Housing Investment Program to support redevelopment of the historic Jefferson School into up to 28 new workforce housing units. This transformational project will help ensure that the people who work in our region can also afford to live here, strengthening our local economy and breathing new life into a treasured community landmark.
We extend our sincere thanks to Governor Glenn Youngkin, Virginia Housing, and our many partners for recognizing the importance of workforce housing and investing in communities like Clifton Forge. This funding will play a vital role in expanding quality housing options for middle-income residents and supporting ongoing economic growth in our region.
Congratulations to the other communities and projects across Virginia who were selected for funding as part of this statewide effort to increase workforce housing opportunities. Together, we are building stronger communities, supporting working families, and preparing Virginia for a bright future.
Stay tuned—there is more exciting work ahead!
