COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Virginian Review extends its sincere appreciation to the Alleghany Highlands community for its generous support of the Lap Blanket Drive benefiting the Alleghany Highlands Christmas Mother program.
From the beginning of the campaign, residents across the region stepped up with donations of new lap blankets, offering warmth and comfort to individuals and families in need this holiday season. Thanks to this overwhelming generosity, more than 40 blankets were collected and will be shared through the Christmas Mother program to support community members facing difficult circumstances.
“We are so grateful to everyone who has donated,” said Carla Bowles of the Virginian Review. “Your generosity truly reflects the spirit of giving. Together, we’ve helped brighten the holidays for those who need it most. This is what the season is all about — neighbors helping neighbors.”
The Virginian Review also extends a heartfelt thank-you to the Alleghany Highlands Christmas Mother, Rachael Thomson, and the dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly each year to serve local families. Their compassion, time, and effort make an extraordinary difference throughout the community.
Warm holiday wishes to all!
