Patricia Gibson

Patricia Ann Gibson passed away on Sunday, November 30th, after a long battle with Lewy Body dementia. Known as Pat to family and friends, she spent her life as a homemaker raising her four children and then her grandchildren who always loved slumber parties with Mamaw and Papaw. Known
for her friendly nature everyone always knew she would have a cup of coffee ready and waiting for chats at the kitchen table.

Born on June 18, 1954, in Medina Ohio, Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Alice Hoskinson; her husband of 47 years, Luther A. Gibson; and her sons, Jamie and Ashley Gibson.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Donna Sue Mounts and David Hoskinson.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Amanda Underwood and husband, Mitch of Covington, VA; and daughter, Abby Sizemore and husband, Chris, of Covington, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Samantha Gill and husband Dheak, Krissy Shifflett and husband Kory, Rachael Feury and
husband, Josh, Savanna Underwood, Nicholas Gibson, Avery Underwood and fiancé Ethan Bunch, Jordan Sizemore, and Grayson Sizemore. Patricia is survived by her great-grandchildren: Karter Shifflett, Khloe Shifflett, Paisley Feury and Raylen Feury. Her surviving siblings include Janet Mounts, Randy and wife 

Lori Hoskinson, Paul and wife, Beth Hoskinson, Johnny Hoskinson, and a special sister, Shelia Hensley.

Patricia also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews and extended family.

In keeping with her wishes, Patricia has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff of Staunton Post Acute Rehab, especially the focus care unit staff for their care and Makayla Phillips of Gentiva Hospice for all of her kindness and support.
